Orientation...or not

We were supposed to have orientation this morning at ten. But it snowed and they cancelled classes. No orientation today. It's supposed to snow more this afternoon so tomorrow is questionable as well.

I knew I was going to have adventures. I just didn't realize there was going to be snow involved.

UK Yahoo article on the snow.
Both runways at Heathrow Airport in west London have been closed, forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights. London City Airport has also been closed.

I'm so glad I flew in yesterday.

Very enchanting. Good luck with your adventures - snow and otherwise. :)

I saw the snow on the news. That amount of snow would have stopped nothing here in Canada, but if you are not used to it and have few plows, it is a big deal. A memorable start to your stay in England.

Hi Maureene,

I have to qualiry something Ruth said. In Glasgow, Scotland - a city at the same latitude as Moscow, for Pete's sake - it snows every year, and every year the city gets caught short by it.

Have you just moved to England? I hope you have a very good stay here - FD

Yes, it was crazy snow! And while it was beautiful, it became highly annoying VERY quickly. Having grown up in Ohio, the shut-down-the-whole-city thing was quite amusing.

Frugal Dougal (love the name!), I'm just studying here for 3 months.
